About our food list

The foods on our list are just some of the high quality foods available for your pet.  There are other good foods on the market so please feel free to read labels and compare foods yourself.  All of the foods on our list are high quality or human quality food.  They all have high quality sources of proteins and do not contain meat our poultry by-products.  They also do not contain fat or protein that is not identified by species.  If you are checking labels here is information that usually denotes quality.  Whole meat or poultry should be listed first in ingredients, not broth or water.  Next, look for whole grains and whole veggies (instead of fragments such as "brewers rice").

Also please note that there is no preference within our list.  The foods are simply listed, no one food is best or better than another.  There is no perfect food that is perfect for every dog.  Every dog is unique and has unique needs so please experiement with different foods and try to find the best fit for your dog.  When you are experimenting, pay attention to how your dog is doing.  Make sure your dog thrives on the food, has a nice healthy coat and bright eyes and clear ears.  If your dog doesn't do well on the food then its not the right food for your dog, even though it IS  on our list.
